7th – Loving Local Family Valentine’s Celebration. 10 am to 2 pm, Activities inside downtown merchants & at the Waterfront Park. – Family friendly activities featuring the best of Gardiner in the wintertime.
4th – Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt & Window Painting. 10 am to 1 pm, Water St. – Children of all ages can scour special merchant window displays for Easter Eggs. Prizes awarded for completed scavenger lists. Visits with the Easter Bunny and storefront window painting.
9th-Spring Tonic Health and Wellness Fair, 4:30 to 7pm, Johnson Hall, 280 Water St.
1st – Gardiner Artwalk – Inside downtown Gardiner businesses
20th Greater Gardiner River Festival – A kickoff to the Kennebec Valley’s “Whatever Family Festival”, highlights include an open-air craft fair on historic Water Street, a waterfront talent show, and Fireworks!

19th – Barks in the Park 10am to 2pm – Gardiner Waterfront Park, – Four-legged friends and their owners celebrate with special demonstrations and events.
10th – Swine & Stein Oktoberfest 11:30 am to 6:30 pm, Water Street, – Gardiner’s take on a traditional Oktoberfest celebration – An all-day street party on Water Street featuring Maine craft beer, Maine musicians, and a celebration of delicious Maine pork products.
23rd- Haunted Storytelling – Real Ghost Stories 6:30 to 8:30 pm, Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water St., October is full of spooky tales and silly pranks, but we will be talking about the more convincing unseen tales with local roots in our Haunted Storytelling Evening. Sometimes what we can’t see can still feel very real, and our other senses work harder to help us understand what is happening around us! 30th– Children’s Halloween 3:00 to 5:00 pm, along Water Street, Trick or Treating with Downtown merchants and a costume contest
30th – Paranormal Exploration in Johnson Hall Opera House, 7 to 8:30pm, 280 Water St. What lies in the dark of Johnson Hall’s third floor opera house? Join Gardiner Main Street and paranormal expert Greg Latimer for our own investigation to find out. Tickets available at the door: $30 adults, $24 17 & under, intended for ages 12 and up, seating is limited.
31st – Haunted Places, Hidden Spaces Historic Walking Tour, 2pm, begins at Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water St. Visit hidden spaces you never knew existed in Gardiner. Beginning at the Library, the tour will walk Downtown, visiting some of the upper story grand halls and telling tales of the city along the way. This free tour is limited to 15 people ages 12 and up. There will be lots of stair climbing on the tour. Advance registration is required. Please call the Gardiner Main Street office at 582-3100 to reserve your spot.
7th, Early Bird Sale in Downtown Gardiner. Gardiner businesses join Renys for spectacular savings for early morning shoppers
28th, Small Business Saturday. Shop local and avoid the big box stores as the holiday gift buying season kicks off. Various promotions and deals to be found inside Gardiner’s fine businesses.
Month-long celebration: Gardiner Days of Light.
FaceTime Social Networking Nights: Join Gardiner Main Street the first Wednesday of every month at a different location to celebrate our community, learn about events and happenings, and network with others. FaceTime is open to anyone who works, lives, or volunteers in the Greater Gardiner community. Host locations typically offer some sort of drink or food special, and Gardiner Main Street conducts raffles at each event. This “after hours” event always takes place from 5-7pm, folks typically drop in for as long or as short as they would like.
Gardiner Summer Farmers Market: Wednesdays May -October from 3-6 at the Gardiner Common, Put a face to your food and join your local farmers for the best local veggies, baked goods, meats and dairy products the season has to offer from 20 local vendors. Eat local, eat fresh, all year long.
